RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recommends approving the Resolution.
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
On March 13, 2024, the Mayor and City Commission (City Commission), approved Resolution No. 2024-32970 (Attachment A), establishing the “Ad HOC City Sanitation Advisory Committee”. This Committe was intended to function for one (1) year (subject to earlier or later sunset by the City Commission), to perform a review of existing cleanliness and sanitation efforts, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations to the City regarding innovative options to improve the cleanliness and sanitation.
Ad Hoc appointments were confirmed almost a year later, on February 3, 2025, due to difficulties in reaching quorum. As such, the Administration recommends extending the Committee for an additional year, through March 13, 2026, with the same appointed members remaining on the Committee.
