COMMISSION MEMORANDUM
RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recommends approving the Resolution.
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
On March 13, 2024, the Mayor and City Commission (City Commission) approved Resolution No. 2024-32955 (Attachment A), establishing the โAd HOC City Lighting Plan Advisory Committeeโ. This Committee was intended to function for one (1) year (subject to earlier or later sunset by the City Commission), to perform reviews of existing lighting infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations to the City regarding a comprehensive lighting plan.
Since its approval, the Ad Hoc Committee has only met once, on March 24, 2025, due to difficulties of reaching quorum (quorum was reached on February 3, 2025). As such, the Administration recommends extending the Committee for an additional year, through March 13, 2026, with the same appointed members remaining on the Committee.
