A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE ADMINISTRATION TO ISSUE REFUNDS TO RESIDENTS WHO WERE CHARGED THE $30 FLAT RATE FOR PARKING AT CERTAIN CITY-OWNED SURFACE LOTS AND PARKING GARAGES UPON PROVIDING DOCUMENTATION OF AMOUNT PAID AND PROOF OF RESIDENCY, WITH SUCH REFUNDS TO BE IN THE AMOUNT OF THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FLAT RATE APPLICABLE TO NON-RESIDENTS AND THE REGULAR RESIDENT RATE. FISCAL IMPACT STATEMENT
The refunds to be issued pursuant to this measure will be in the amount of the difference between the flat rate applicable to non-residents and the regular resident rate for parking at certain city- owned surface lots and parking garages. Therefore, the refunds for the overpayment of parking fees are monies otherwise not due to the City and will not have a fiscal impact.
