RECOMMENDATION
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
ANALYSIS
Please place on the next available agenda a referral to the Land Use and Sustainability Committee (LUSC) to discuss possible legislation increasing distance requirements for adult material shops.
Specifically, I would like the committee to discuss, with the aid of the City Administration and the City Attorneyβs Office, the following possible legislative items: β’ Increasing the minimum buffer from schools, religious institutions, and residential neighborhoods from 300 feet to at least 1,000 feet. β’ Evaluating whether additional distance requirements should be established for other sensitive locations. β’ Reviewing enforcement mechanisms to ensure compliance with updated regulations.
