A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, HIGHLIGHTING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE INCREASING RISKS POSED BY DANGEROUS AND ILLEGAL DRIVING BY MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATORS WITH SUSPENDED OR REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSES; AND URGING THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE TO ENACT LEGISLATION INCREASING PENALTIES AND IMPOSING MINIMUM MANDATORY PERIODS OF INCARCERATION FOR SUCH OFFENSES; AND FURTHER, URGING THE COURTS TO PRIORITIZE THE ADJUDICATION OF THESE CASES AND TO IMPLEMENT STRONGER MEASURES TO DETER REPEAT OFFENDERS.
