COMMISSION MEMORANDUM
RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recommends accepting the donation of $5,000 for the benefit of the Miami Beach Police Department.
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
Following the recent passing of the late Dr. Carlos J. Dominguez, his Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor, Angela Deggs, has notified the Miami Beach Police Department (MBPD) of an intended donation in the amount of $5,000 to be directed to the MBPD. Dr. Dominguez generously named the MBPD as a beneficiary of his Individual Retirement Account, reflecting the donor’s appreciation and support of the MBPD’s service to the community.
ANALYSIS
The proposed donation of $5,000 would be used for the benefit of the Miami Beach Police Department and the community at large.
