A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING ITS STRONG OPPOSITION TO MIAMI-DADE COUNTY MAYOR DANIELLA LEVINE CAVA’S PROPOSED TRANSPORTATION FEE INCREASES AS PART OF THE COUNTY’S FY 2026 BUDGET, INCLUDING PROPOSED INCREASES TO METRORAIL AND METROBUS FARES, SPECIAL TRANSPORTATION SERVICE (STS) FARES, GAS TAXES, TOLLS, AND THE ELIMINATION OF METROCONNECT, AND URGING THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO IDENTIFY ALTERNATIVE FUNDING SOURCES—SUCH AS THE CANCELLATION OF THE METROMOVER EXTENSION PROJECT—THAT DO NOT PLACE AN UNDUE FINANCIAL BURDEN ON RESIDENTS.
