A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, URGING MIAMI-DADE COUNTY TO EXPEDITE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ADVANCED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, INCLUDING TRAFFIC LIGHT SYNCHRONIZATION DEVICES, WITH PRIORITY GIVEN TO THE COUNTY’S MOST CONGESTED AREAS AND BARRIER ISLANDS SUCH AS MIAMI BEACH; REQUESTING THAT THE COUNTY PROVIDE REGULAR UPDATES TO THE CITY REGARDING IMPLEMENTATION PROGRESS; EXPRESSING THE CITY’S WILLINGNESS TO COORDINATE AND SUPPORT SUCH EFFORTS IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE; AND URGING THE COUNTY TO STRICTLY ENFORCE THE CONTRACTUAL REQUIREMENT THAT ALL TRAFFIC LIGHTS IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY BE FULLY SYNCHRONIZED WITHIN FIVE YEARS.
