RESOLUTION NO.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, URGING THE CITY ADMINISTRATION TO EXPEDITE ALL OUTSTANDING ITEMS NECESSARY TO COMMENCE CONSTRUCTION OF BEACH VIEW PARK.

WHEREAS, Beach View Park has been in planning and development for several years, with the goal of creating an inclusive and accessible recreational space for residents and visitors; and

WHEREAS, despite years of effort, the project has recently stalled, with minimal progress toward construction; and

WHEREAS, the following items remain pending and must be expedited to allow the project

to move forward:

Issuance of the purchase order for GameTime playground equipment;

Approval of the tree removal and tree relocation permit, which is a prerequisite for issuing the purchase order for landscaping;

Completion of the Building Department’s permit and review process for the park; and

Appointment of a dedicated Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the remaining pre-construction activities; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission are committed to ensuring the timely delivery of this long-awaited public amenity and desire that the Administration take all necessary steps to expedite the outstanding items listed above and any other items that may delay progress.

NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Commission hereby urge the City Administration to take all necessary steps to expedite all

outstanding items necessary to commence construction of Beach View Park.
