MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY LAND USE BOARD APPLICATIONS NECESSARY TO FACILITATE THE REVIEW OF PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS TO THE LINCOLN LANE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY, ADJACENT TO THE PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 723 LINCOLN LANE NORTH. 721 LINCOLN ROAD. WHEREAS, MAC Management 2, LLC (β€œMAC”), as agent for the contract purchaser of the properties located at 723 Lincoln Lane North, 721 Lincoln Road, and 741 Lincoln Road, has expressed interest in partnering with the City of Miami Beach to improve the Lincoln Lane North right-of-way abutting the subject properties; and

WHEREAS, the Lincoln Lane North right-of-way is currently underutilized and underdeveloped , and the proposed improvements would help revitalize the area, enhance pedestrian connectivity, and support the continued economic vibrancy of the Lincoln Road District; and

WHEREAS, the contemplated improvements are intended to activate the alleyway and transform it into a more functional and inviting public space, consistent with the City’s broader goals of placemaking and urban revitalization; and

WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the review of the proposed improvements by the appropriate land use boards, it is necessary for the City Manager to execute any required applications on behalf of the City, as the right-of-way is City-owned property; and

WHEREAS, the final decision as to whether the City will proceed with the proposed improvements shall be made by the Mayor and City Commission, following the Finance and Economic Resiliency Committee’s review and recommendation regarding a potential Improvement and Maintenance Agreement between the City and MAC.

NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute any land use board

applications necessary to facilitate the review of proposed improvements to the Lincoln

Lane North right-of-way, adjacent to the properties located at 723 Lincoln Lane North, 721 Lincoln Road, and 741 Lincoln Road; said improvements to be undertaken in connection with a potential improvement and maintenance agreement between the City and MAC Management 2, LLC, the agent for the contract purchaser of the subject properties; and providing that the final decision to proceed with the project shall be made by the Mayor and City Commission following receipt of a recommendation from the Finance and Economic Resiliency Committee relating to the potential Improvement and Maintenance Agreement.
