C7V - A Resolution Of The Mayor And City Commission Of The City Of Miami Beach, Florida, Taking The Following Steps: (1) Directing The City Administration To Work With Miami-dade County To Reduce The Speed Limit To Twenty (20) Miles Per Hour On Prairie Avenue, With Special Consideration To Areas In The Vicinity Of Miami Beach Senior High School And North Beach Elementary School Grounds (the “school Grounds”) And To Take All Steps Which May Be Necessary To Notify Global Positioning System (“gps”) Platforms, Such As Waze, Google Maps, And Apple Maps Of The Change; (2) Urging The Miami Beach Police Department To Enhance Traffic Enforcement Around The School Grounds To Address On-going Traffic Safety Issues On Prairie Avenue; (3) Directing The City Administration To Create A Plan On Enforcing Parking Violations On Bicycle Lanes In Accordance With §316.1945 Fla. Stat. Through The Use Of Parking Enforcement Officers On Bicycles, Prioritizing Bicycle Lane Violations Near The Aforementioned School Grounds; And (4) Directing The City Administration To Provide A Quarterly Progress Report To The Public Safety Neighborhood Quality Of Life Committee On The Status Of Implementing The Central Bayshore Traffic Calming Improvements Required As Part Of The Chase Avenue And 34th Street Shared-use Path Project.
