Adopt the Resolution.
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
The Mayor and City Commission have adopted a policy to rotate the Vice-Mayor position every four months. The next Vice-Mayor is to be selected from Group I, with the term originally scheduled to run from December 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026. However, because the Group I seat was subject to a Run-Off Election held on December 9, 2025, and the results were certified today, December 15, 2025, the start of the Vice-Mayor’s term, typically beginning on December 1, was delayed. Accordingly, the new term will commence on December 15, 2025, with Commissioner Monica Matteo-Salinas serving as Vice-Mayor.
