TITLE:
REFERRAL TO THE FINANCE AND ECONOMIC RESILIENCY COMMITTEE – DISCUSS INSTALLATION OF ENHANCED LIGHTING AT THE DOG PARK LOCATED AT 201 2ND STREET.

RECOMMENDATION

Please place on the December 17, 2025 agenda a referral to the Finance and Economic Resiliency Committee (FERC) to discuss the installation of enhanced lighting at the dog park located at 201 2nd Street.

BACKGROUND/HISTORY

The dog park located at 201 2nd Street is a valued recreational space for residents and their pets. However, concerns have been raised regarding inadequate lighting conditions during early morning and evening hours, which may impact safety, visibility, and overall usability of the park.

Improved lighting would enhance the experience for park users, increase safety, and support the City’s broader goals of promoting accessible and well-maintained public spaces.
